Monday- May 7th: And so it begins!
Started training for the 2012 NPC Dorian Yates Classic today! Started off with some cardio & legs. Here’s the diet lineup for the first few weeks: (*Most of you know, these most likely will be blended together between clients!)
6am-Protein shake & 1 cup of oatmeal
8am-14 egg whites & 1 cup of oatmeal
10am-10/12 ounces of ground extra lean turkey, 1 sweet potato, 1 cup of green beans
12pm-10/12 ounces of ground extra lean turkey, 1 sweet potato, 1 cup of green beans
2pm-Protein shake
4pm-10/12 ounces of ground extra lean turkey, 1 cup of green beans
6pm-10/12 ounces of ground extra lean turkey, 1 cup of green beans
8pm-Protein shake
& 2 gallons of water each day. Looking forward to competing again (#15)!
Friday-May 11th: Blender Blunder…
Well, weight started off at 228 lbs Monday, now down to 220 lbs. Wow! Had my trusty blender for all my meals for the past 8 years and it finally goes out at Meal #5 on Tuesday. What a great time eating…partially blended, somewhat lumpy, somewhat solid food… Mm! Ran around town all afternoon looking for the same brand of blender (Waring) and was continuously told it was an order only item and that it would take two weeks to be shipped…yea, right…awesome! (Insert sarcasm.) Luckily, Stephanie (D Barre & Pilates Instructor) was getting a new Vitamix so she did not need her old blender which she graciously donated to me! THANK YOU, STEPHANIE FOR SAVING THE DAY! It works great and I’m back to blending my turkey, green beans and sweet potatoes all together for all of my meals!
